Softball Game Preview: Peachtree Academy Panthers vs. Lyndon Academy Terriers

The Peachtree Academy Panthers will take on the Lyndon Academy Terriers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

While Peachtree Academy's victory against Trinity Prep wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Peachtree Academy skirted past Trinity Prep 6-4.

Meanwhile, Lyndon Academy can bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Creekside Christian Academy 11-10. The high-scoring effort was just what the Terriers needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Gyselle Marquez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Bell, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

The win got Lyndon Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Peachtree Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Peachtree Academy took their win against Lyndon Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-3. Does Peachtree Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lyndon Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
