Recap: Heritage Christian Eagles vs. Longview Christian
The Heritage Christian Eagles had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Longview Christian with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 42-24. Heritage Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Longview Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Oscar Adame, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and four steals. Adame has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Obed Sandel, who scored a point along with six steals.
Heritage Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-5. As for Longview Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
Heritage Christian will head out on the road to challenge Poetry Community Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Poetry Community Christian is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Longview Christian will take on Greenville Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
