Softball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado lost against Lubbock back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Coronado fell just short of Lubbock by a score of 10-9.

Coronado has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. Lubbock's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7-1.

Coming up, Coronado will venture away from home to square off against Tascosa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lubbock, they will host Plainview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainview has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.44 runs per game on average), something Lubbock will no doubt try to take advantage of.
