Basketball Game Preview: Valley Forge Patriots vs. Lakewood Rangers

The Valley Forge Patriots will take on the Lakewood Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Forge has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with 11 straight defeats, while Lakewood will come in with three straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Valley Forge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Bay. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rockets 19-11 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Lakewood was able to grind out a solid victory over Rocky River on Tuesday, taking the game 61-52.

Lakewood has also been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Valley Forge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
