Sangre de Cristo won the last time they faced Moffat, and Haylee Freel did her part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds' way against the Moffat Cowboys on Tuesday as the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds made off with a 49-27 victory which was due in part to Freel, who posted 31 points. Those 31 points gave her a new career-high.

Moffat's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kandra Pollard, who put up ten points and seven steals, and Shauna Pollard, who had ten points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Kandra is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Sangre de Cristo's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for Moffat, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Sangre de Cristo will venture away from home to challenge Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Moffat, they will challenge Antonito at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
