Nekoosa came into Tuesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Oconto Blue Devils 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Papermakers have posted since April 14th.

Raegen Wilhorn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Boerboom, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Montana Rowe, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Nekoosa's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Oconto, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-7.

As of now, neither Nekoosa nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
