Softball Recap: Trico Pioneers vs. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg
Trico had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 5-3. The win was nothing new for Trico as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Josie Wettig was excellent, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Hayleigh Franklin was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Trico has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-13.
Trico is on the road again on Friday to play Illini Bluffs at 12:30 p.m. Trico is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
