Thornton can attribute much of their success to Emely Garcia, who had a block and 12 assists, and Ali Blucher, who had six aces and two kills. The dominant performance gave Blucher a new career-high in aces.
Thornton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Mountain Range came up short against Riverdale Ridge on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
