Volleyball Recap: Clear Fork Triumphs

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Clear Fork and West Holmes, and Clear Fork kept the tradition alive. The Colts came out on top against the Knights by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Clear Fork walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16, 19-25, 26-24.

Clear Fork found their leader in sophomore Quinn Stover, who had nine aces and seven digs. Those nine aces set a new season-high mark for Stover.

Clear Fork was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Clear Fork's record now sits at 7-15. As for West Holmes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-20 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Clear Fork will challenge Willard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Holmes, they will be taking part in a tournament against Meadowbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colts will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
