After a string of three wins, Cigarroa's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Nixon Mustangs by a score of 37-35. If the Toros were looking for revenge after losing 52-50 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cigarroa's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-11. As for Nixon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mission the next time they take the court. Cigarroa will head out to face Mission at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, while Nixon will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
