Volleyball Recap: University Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

University can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the West Port Wolf Pack.

Alik Torchilo paced University's offense, picking up ten kills. Torchilo were helped by Motoki Langston and Logan Calderon, who contributed seven assists each. Torchilo was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why West Port lost, don't look at Luis Monserat. Despite the final result, he had ten digs and two aces. Monserat has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times he's played.

University's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for West Port, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

University wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Dr. Phillips on the 8th. As for West Port, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Lake Nona on the 5th.
