Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield lost against Gallup back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bloomfield Bobcats were dealt a 78-12 loss at the hands of the Gallup Bengals. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-7.

This is the second loss in a row for Bloomfield and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Gallup, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Bloomfield is taking a road trip to take on Miyamura at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bloomfield is facing Miyamura at the right time seeing as Miyamura is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Gallup, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shiprock at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gallup's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so Shiprock's offense will have their work cut out for them.
