Basketball Recap: Christopher Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Johnston City, Christopher was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Shawnee Redskins by a score of 52-42. This was payback for the Bearcats, who suffered a 42-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Redskins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Berkli Holtman, who posted 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Young, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.

Christopher's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Shawnee, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Christopher won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wayne City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shawnee, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Trico at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
