Recap: Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] vs. Overton Eagles

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Overton on the road and fell 75-12. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] in their matchups with Overton: they've now lost five in a row.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Overton pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.

Overton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Natalie Wood, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wood scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Gracyn Luther, who scored ten points along with seven steals and six assists.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] bumped their record down to 1-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Overton, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] will be playing in front of their home fans against Medicine Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Medicine Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Thursday. As for Overton, they will head out on the road to challenge Brady at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brady will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
