Pelham took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Spain Park, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Jaguars on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Pelham's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-9. As for Spain Park, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-11.

Looking ahead, Pelham will be playing at home against Vincent at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Spain Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Briarwood Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
