            Soccer Recap: South Elgin vs. Glenbard West        
        
		
        
        
            While South Elgin didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-1  win over the Glenbard West Hilltoppers  on Saturday. That's two games straight that South Elgin have won by  just one  goal.
 Jack Schmidtke and  Alan Munoz scored both of South Elgin's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

The  victory keeps South Elgin at an undefeated 6-0-1. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored eight  goals over those three  matchups. As for Glenbard West,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-2.
 South Elgin and Glenbard West will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Storm will  square off against  rival Aurora East  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Glenbard West is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Oak Park-River Forest  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
