Volleyball Recap: Alton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Alton hadn't done well against Father McGivney Catholic recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Redbirds had just enough and edged out the Griffins 2-1. For the Redbirds, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Griffins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Alton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-17, 25-15.
