Volleyball Recap: Minersville Takes a Loss

Minersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Tri-Valley Bulldogs. If the Battlin' Miners were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-11, 25-8.

Leading Tri-Valley to victory were Callie Melocheck and Kirra Klinger. Melocheck had 24 assists, while Klinger had ten digs and four assists. Melocheck is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season.

Minersville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tri-Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minersville will challenge Weatherly at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-Valley, they will square off against Marian Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
