Soccer Recap: Albertville Comes Up Short

Albertville came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Sparkman Senators, falling 4-1. The loss continues a trend for Albertville in their meetings with Sparkman: they've now lost four in a row.

Albertville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Sparkman, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5-3.

Albertville will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Payne at 7:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Sparkman, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Randolph School at 5:00 p.m.
