While Homestead didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 62-41 margin over the Fremont Firebirds on Friday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Homestead and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Fremont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Homestead and Independence will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Fremont, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lynbrook at 7:45 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
