Softball Recap: Altha Wins Going Away Against Bay

Altha barely beat Bay the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Altha Wildcats never let the Bay Tornadoes get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Friday. That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

Reagan Roberts was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Roberts was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Reagan Watkins was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-1. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaylean Clowes, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Altha was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Altha, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Altha has already played their next match, a 7-2 loss against Chipley on the 25th. As for Bay, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-3 victory against Lighthouse Private Christian Academy on the 28th.
