Basketball Recap: Hutchinson Comes Up Short

Hutchinson was the 82-78 winner over Mankato West when they last played one another back in March of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Hutchinson Tigers took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mankato West Scarlets on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Hutchinson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Mankato West, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hutchinson will head out to challenge Worthington at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mankato West, they will take on Stewartville at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
