Softball Recap: Greenfield Comes Up Short

Greenfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 19-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheaton Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 24-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wheaton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Greenfield will be playing at home against Jasper at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wheaton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-15 win against Golden City on the 27th.
