Football Recap: Gillett Takes a Loss

Gillett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 59-6 loss at the hands of the Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Blazers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Blazers are ranked 137th).

Gillett didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jed Herzog.

Gillett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

As of now, neither Gillett nor the Blazers have any future games scheduled.
