Volleyball Recap: Fort Scott Comes Up Short

Fort Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Labette County Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 two weeks ago.

While Fort Scott was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20.

Leading Labette County to victory were Malaya Broadwell and Ella Thomsen. Broadwell had eight digs and two aces, while Thomsen had four digs.

Fort Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Labette County, their record now sits at 8-15.

Fort Scott has already played their next match (against Pittsburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Labette County, they will take on Chanute on Saturday.
