Softball Recap: Savanna Gets the Win

Savanna was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Whitney Wildcats 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since April 24, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kimberly Jimenez, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Priscilla Serrano, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Savanna's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Whitney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Savanna wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-3 victory against Western on the 16th. As for Whitney, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-12 win against Artesia on the 15th.
