Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Dixie County

Dixie County entered their tilt with Trenton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Dixie County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-20, 25-14, 25-14.

Averleigh McFarlan paced Dixie County's offense, picking up 12 kills. McFarlan got some help from Riley Whitaker and her 18 assists. Finally, Jeriah Curtis kept Dixie County's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Dixie County's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Trenton, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dixie County will venture away from home to square off against Bell at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trenton, they will head out to challenge Cedar Key at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
