Softball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

Eldorado lost against Las Vegas last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Eldorado lost 26-8 to Las Vegas. The Firehawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alma De Dios made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Eldorado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Las Vegas, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Eldorado and Las Vegas will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Eldorado will square off against rival Sierra Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Las Vegas is set to challenge their familiar foe Mojave at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
