Softball Recap: Canyon Springs Takes a Loss

Canyon Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Virgin Valley Bulldogs. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Canyon Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Virgin Valley, their record now sits at 5-3.

After both having extra time off, Canyon Springs and Cheyenne will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 3:30 p.m. on March 24th. Canyon Springs has given up an average of 16.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Virgin Valley, they will take on Parowan in a tournament on Friday.
