Baseball Recap: Sam Rayburn Takes a Loss

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Dawson Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on Tuesday.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Dawson, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sam Rayburn will face off against rival Pasadena Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. Meanwhile, Dawson is set to take on their familiar foe Alvin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
