Fremd extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Lily Mayer. The Vikings walked away with a 33-20 win over the Hersey Huskies on Wednesday for which the team can thank Mayer, who threw for 325 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 107 yards and one score on only 13 carries. Her passing game has become a key predictor of Fremd's success: the team is undefeated when her passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

Fremd's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Hersey's QB won't forget MacKenzie Drake anytime soon given she sacked her three times. Drake has been hot, having posted at least one sack the last six times she's played. Christina Angerame was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making eight total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending two passes.

Fremd's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Hersey, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Fremd has already played their next match, a 28-6 win against New Trier on the 18th. As for Hersey, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-20 victory against Lake Zurich on the 19th.
