Softball Recap: Kingman/Norwich Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Kingman/Norwich waltzed into their match on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Conway Springs Cardinals as they made off with a 12-2 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 15-0 victory on Thursday.

Kingman/Norwich let Parker Beam and Grace Parsons run wild. Beam got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Parsons got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Brannan, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Kingman/Norwich always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Kingman/Norwich's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Conway Springs, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Kingman/Norwich will square off against Trinity Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Conway Springs, they will head out to square off against Belle Plaine at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
