Softball Recap: Emmaus Hornets vs. Pocono Mountain East Cardinals        
        
		
            
 Emmaus stacked  an  11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They were the clear victor by  a  12-2 margin over the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals. The  victory was familiar territory for Emmaus who now have five in a row.
  Emma Kozy made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Kozy was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and a  double.
 In other batting news, Emmaus let  Brianna Amey and  Sadie Haefeli loose on the outfield. Amey  went 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and a  triple, while  Haefeli  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Abigail Derr, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI.
 Emmaus pushed their record up to 16-3 with that  win, which was their ninth straight  at home. As for Pocono Mountain East, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Emmaus will take on Allentown Central Catholic at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Allentown Central Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game  this season. As for Pocono Mountain East, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against East Stroudsburg South at 4:00  p.m.
