Baseball Recap: Grace Academy Beats Town East Christian for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Grace Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Town East Christian on Friday. Grace Academy was the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over Town East Christian. With that victory, Grace Academy brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Grace Academy let Will Yassa and Ajax McLendon run wild. Yassa went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while McLendon got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. McLendon is becoming a predictor of Grace Academy's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 6-7-1 when he doesn't). Hunter Maxwell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.
