Baseball Recap: Trigg County Wildcats vs. Murray Tigers

If Trigg County was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Crittenden County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell just short of the Murray Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Aaden Allen and Nathan Simmons stepped up to the plate in a big way. Allen went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Simmons earned two runs and four stolen bases. James Garnett also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Trigg County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Murray, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
