Football Recap: Jasper Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Jasper had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Chapel Hill and fell 49-7. Jasper was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Chapel Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Damarcion Blaylock, who picked up 123 receiving yards and three scores, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Another passer making a difference was Malik Gee, who threw for 214 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.

Looking ahead, Jasper will host Palestine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapel Hill, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Gilmer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
