Basketball Game Preview: Merrimack Valley The Pride vs. Sanborn Regional Indians

The Merrimack Valley The Pride will take on the Sanborn Regional Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Merrimack Valley came up short against Coe-Brown Academy and fell 58-50.

Meanwhile, Sanborn Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 58-19 loss at the hands of Pelham.

Merrimack Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points over those games. As for Sanborn Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Everything came up roses for Merrimack Valley against Sanborn Regional when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as the team secured a 63-22 win. Will Merrimack Valley repeat their success, or does Sanborn Regional have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
