Soccer Recap: Poway Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Poway has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Pasqual Golden Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Ryan Cokkinis, who's now up to six this season.

Poway's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-3. As for San Pasqual, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season.

Poway will head out to face off against San Diego at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Poway's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. San Pasqual has already played their next game (against Mission Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
