Soccer Game Preview: Gilbert vs. Greenwood

The Gilbert Indians will face off against the Greenwood Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Gilbert had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Midland Valley on Thursday. Gilbert never let Midland Valley get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Gilbert in their matchups with Midland Valley: they've now won eight in a row.

Avery Campbell and Ainsley Bryan scored all three of Gilbert's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Greenwood brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They blew past T.L. Hanna 4-0 last Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for Greenwood as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Gilbert pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Greenwood, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
