The New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Central Texas Christian at home and fell 49-16. New Braunfels Christian Academy lost against Central Texas Christian in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-22 score last time.
Despite the defeat, New Braunfels Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Dillan Wickham rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Wickham was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards.
New Braunfels Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Central Texas Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
New Braunfels Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Paul is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Central Texas Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Sacred Heart at 7:30 p.m. Sacred Heart is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
