Meadville hadn't done well against Grundy County/Newtown-Harris recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Meadville Eagles put the hurt on the Grundy County/Newtown-Harris Panthers with a sharp 57-37 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meadville was led to victory by Carter Thompson and Walker Norris. Thompson went 7 of 10 on his way to 18 points, while Norris went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points and six rebounds. What's more, Thompson also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Reece Meyers was another key player, putting up eight points.

Despite the loss, Grundy County/Newtown-Harris still got an impressive performance from Hunter Miller, who went 11 of 24 en route to 26 points and three steals. The game was Miller's 11th in a row with at least ten points.

Meadville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Grundy County/Newtown-Harris, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-8.
