Volleyball Recap: Westmoreland Comes Up Short

Westmoreland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Chittenango Bears, falling 3-0. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-5.

Chittenango was led to victory by Logan Bronner and Micah Schiralli. Bronner had six aces and three digs, while Schiralli had five digs and three aces. Bronner is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 23 every time he's taken the court this season.

Westmoreland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Chittenango, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Westmoreland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rome Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Chittenango, they will face off against Mt. Markham at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
