The home team had come away the winner the last five times Arroyo Grande and Paso Robles had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles blew past the Bearcats, posting a 56-14 victory. With the Eagles ahead 42-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arroyo Grande to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Clark, who rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Clark's longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Miles Thompson was another major influence, as he rushed for 157 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arroyo Grande was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 466 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Blayne Lowry, who threw for 232 yards and a pair of TDs. 89 of those passing yards were hauled in by Emmett Dobroth, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Arroyo Grande's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Paso Robles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
