Wasatch lost against Salem Hills on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wasps fell just short of the Skyhawks by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wasps have suffered against the Skyhawks since April 11, 2023.

Austin Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs. He is becoming a predictor of Wasatch's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-2 (and 7-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Grant Mahoney, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Wasatch has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Salem Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-15.
