The Simeon Wolverines will face off against the Brooks Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Simeon will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Wednesday, Simeon beat Solorio 14-10. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Sun Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Aiden Pondexter was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Simeon is undefeated when Pondexter posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Quincy Washington was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Simeon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Brooks got the win against Morgan Park on Wednesday by a conclusive 12-5. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Colin White, who went 3-for-5 with three doubles and three RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Slaughter, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Simeon's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Brooks, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Brooks' pitching crew better be locked in on Friday. Simeon hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. It's a different story for Brooks, though, as they've been averaging only 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep Simeon in the park?
Everything went Simeon's way against Brooks in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Simeon made off with a 16-2 victory. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
