Soccer Game Preview: Pompano Beach vs. Everglades

Pompano Beach hasn't had much luck against Everglades recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Golden Tornadoes will square off against the Gators. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pompano Beach barely beat Stranahan the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Tornadoes' defense stepped up to hand the Mighty Dragons a 5-0 shutout on Thursday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Everglades, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They won by a goal and slipped past Flanagan 2-1. The victory continues a trend for Everglades in their matchups with Flanagan: they've now won seven in a row.

Pompano Beach's record is now 3-0. As for Everglades, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Pompano Beach suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Everglades when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Golden Tornadoes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
