Volleyball Game Preview: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Downers Grove South Mustangs

The Plainfield Central Wildcats will challenge the Downers Grove South Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Plainfield Central challenged Joliet West on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Downers Grove South also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Oak Park-River Forest by a score of 2-0.

Downers Grove South was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20.

Plainfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Downers Grove South, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
