Recap: Davie War Eagles vs. Reagan Raiders
The Davie War Eagles won the last time they faced the Reagan Raiders, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Davie walked away with a 57-46 victory over the Raiders. Given Davie's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Raiders are ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Davie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Ratledge, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ratledge has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Powers, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Davie's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Reagan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davie will take on the Spartans at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Mount Tabor will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Reagan, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Titans at 8:00 p.m. West Forsyth has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 574 points over their last eight contests.
