Volleyball Recap: Cathedral Comes Up Short

Cathedral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Paramount Pirates. The Phantoms were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Cathedral was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 21 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21.

Cathedral's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Paramount, with the win, they broke their 15-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-20.

Cathedral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Paramount, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Maywood CES on the 19th.
