Spring is a perfect 10-0 against Aldine since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Spring will head out to take on Aldine at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Spring's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.
It was a proper cat-fight when Spring challenged Nimitz on Friday. Spring put the hurt on Nimitz with a sharp 14-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Mikayla Zepeda tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February.
At the plate, Spring got a massive performance out of Keona Jackson, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Jackson has posted since back in February. Hailey Jones-Calais also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Spring kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.6.
Meanwhile, Aldine came up short against Eisenhower on Friday and fell 11-7.
Aldine saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jasmine Guerrero, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another was Sara Sanchez, who scored two runs and stole three bases.
The win got Spring back to even at 8-8. As for Aldine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Spring has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .492. However, it's not like Aldine struggles in that department as they've averaged .526. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Spring took their victory against Aldine in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-1. Will Spring repeat their success, or does Aldine has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
